Thinking of my family today

Today is the funeral for my eldest cousin, Denise. She had been ill for many years, but her passing was a shock. Denise was kind, humble, and wonderful with children. When I was little, she was naturally the cousin I looked up to the most. And so I really would prefer to be there today to support my cousins that I grew up with, my Aunt and Uncle, Kay and Gary, and Denise’s own children. Instead, I’m taking a moment to look up at the stars outside, reflect and remember. My father has posted on facebook a lovely collection of photos of Denise and my cousins as children.
